Coin deposits a hit with the public – BSP

A RECENTLY launched effort to improve currency circulation has already led to the collection of some P12 million in coins since deposit machines were set up in select malls, a Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) official said.

'It's only been one month, all the machines have just been deployed, but the deposits are already 12 million [pesos],' BSP Deputy Governor Bernadette Romulo-Puyat told reporters on Friday.
