NVizcaya board okays menstrual privilege ordinance, first in PH

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: In a move to address unique challenges faced by women in the workplace, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP or Provincial Council) has approved an ordinance granting menstrual privilege to female employees and workers of the provincial government.

Authored and proposed by Board Member Patricio Dumlao Jr., this significant legislation, dubbed as the "Nueva Vizcaya Empower Ordinance," is the first of its kind for a provincial local government unit in the country.
