Palawan Express Pera Padala and international remittance partners enable seamless remittance services for Filipinos

Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are hailed as modern-day heroes due to their pivotal role in the Philippine economy, as well as their contribution to improving their families' livelihoods. Their remittances play a significant part in boosting the country's growth.

In 2022, the remarkable achievements of OFWs in remittances were evident. Data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) revealed a record-breaking amount of USD36.1 billion (P2 trillion) in remittances, representing a 3.6 percent increase from the previous year. These remittances accounted for 8.9 percent of the country's gross domestic product.
