THE peso gained versus the dollar, but the stock market inched down in the wake of the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) move to resume hiking interest rates.
The currency strengthened by 6 centavos to P54.56:$1 while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shed 1.21 points, or 0.02 percent, to end the day at 6,677.92.
