Blu Girls lose playoffs vs. Italy at World Cup

The Philippine Blu Girls played their best but fell short against host Italy in the playoff for third place in the Women's Softball World Cup.

A day after scoring a 6-5 upset victory against Italy at the end of the group C play, the Philippines bowed to the same team, 5-6, on Thursday to end its campaign at fourth place.
