PH beats NZ, stun host Italy 6-5 in Softball World Cup

Not too long after the Philippine national women's football team won their first game against New Zealand, the Nicole Hammoude-led women's softball team have won back-to-back games at the 17th Women's Softball World Cup, held in Italy.

The RP Blu Girls beat, coincidentally, New Zealand and hosts Italy 5-3 and 6-5 respectively on Tuesday, which gave a playoff spot to the Philippines.
