THIRTEEN national roads in Northern Luzon have been declared unpassable and closed to traffic as of noon Wednesday due to the onslaught of Super Typhoon 'Egay.'

In a press briefing of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) at its headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said these roads were closed due to soil erosion, series of soil collapse, fallen trees, and mudflow and to ensure the safety of the public.
