Typhoon 'Egay' maintains strength, continues to dump heavy rain in Northern Luzon

AFTER making its second landfall this time over Dalupiri Island in Cagayan, Typhoon 'Egay' has maintained its strength while dumping heavy rain over Northern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Wednesday.

In an 11 a.m. press briefing, Pagasa said storm signals have remained in parts of Luzon, particularly over the northern portion of Cagayan (Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Claveria, Sanchez-Mira, Pamplona, Abulug, Ballesteros, Aparri, Buguey, Santa Teresita, Camalaniugan and Santa Praxedes) including Babuyan Islands, the northern portion of Apayao (Calanasan, Luna and Santa Marcela), and the northern portion of Ilocos Norte (Burgos, Bangui, Dumalneg, Pagudpud, Adams, Pasuquin, Vintar and Bacarra) which are still under Signal No. 4.
