SAIC Motor Philippines Inc. (SMP) has assumed the role of the official importer and distributor for Morris Garages (MG) products and services in the Philippines. Taking over from The Covenant Car Company Inc. (TCCCI), SMP is now responsible for handling the distribution of MG automobiles and parts in the country.

The announcement was made during a special event held on July 19, 2023 at The Fifth at Rockwell in Makati, where SMP hosted bank partners and MG dealer principals. Distinguished guests at the event included Pedro Garcia, vice president of SAIC Motor Spain, and Oleg Son, MG Motor design director.
