EVERYTHING is set for the presentation of 'Applause: A Musical Tribute to Aliw founder, Alice Reyes' at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel on July 31, 2023.
The concert, a first in the history of Philippine live entertainment, will bring together the country's top live entertainers, who have been recognized over the years by the Aliw Awards Foundation (Aliw).
It will be recalled that Aliw was the first and only award-giving of its kind to give due recognition to Philippine live entertainers, starting in 1977. It has been imitated but never equaled as the only body that awards every aspect of live entertainment.

The once-in-a-lifetime concert will be headlined by Entertainers of the Year Kuh Ledesma, Dulce, Ogie Alcasid, Gerphil Flores, Gerald Santos, Julie Anne San Jose, and Lifetime Achievement awardees JoMari Chan, John Lesaca and Imelda Papin.
The Halili-Cruz Dance Co., fresh from its success abroad, will also perform at the concert.
As a prelude to the headliners, other Aliw awardees are rendering numbers to honor the Aliw founder. These include Beverley Salviejo, Nina Campos, Jade Riccio, Merjohn Lagaya, Kathy Hipolito Mas, Sherwin Sioson, and the children of the late beloved Rico Puno, 2nd Entertainer of the Year, Tosca and Rox Puno.
Directing the show is Joey Nombres and musical director is Pipo Cifra, three-time Aliw awardee.
