PH net external liability up in Q4

THE country recorded a higher net external liability position in the fourth quarter of 2022, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) reported late on Thursday.

This was due to higher net external liability positions of non-financial corporations (NFCs) and the general government (GG) as well as the BSP's lower net external asset position. The GG consists of the national government (NG), local government units and social security agencies.
