THE peso fell further against the dollar on Friday, but the stock market rallied anew as investors anticipated positive second-quarter earnings results.
The currency weakened by 23-and-a-half centavos to P54.755 against the dollar, while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) added 34.06 points, or 0.52 percent, to end the day at 6,647.56.
