Basic Energy wins wind project contract

BASIC Energy Corp. on Friday said it had secured another wind service energy contract from the Department of Energy for a proposed nearshore wind energy project in Balayan, Batangas.

Under the contract, Basic Energy received exclusive rights to explore, develop and utilize wind energy resources within the 2,835-hectare contracted area. The offshore area is located approximately 1 kilometer east of the Calatagan peninsula.
