Marcos to new Armed Forces chief: 'Ensure smooth delivery of public services'

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday challenged the new leadership of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to recalibrate the military's internal operations to 'ensure the smooth delivery of public services in geographically challenged and disadvantaged communities.'

Speaking at the Change of Command rites and sendoff for outgoing Chief of Staff General Andres Centino at the AFP Headquarters in Quezon City, Marcos directed newly designated military chief, General Romeo Brawner to exert more efforts to bring the government closer to the people, especially former insurgents who have returned to the folds of the law.
