Legarda wants more support for MSMEs

SEN. Lorna Regina 'Loren' Legarda has called for more government support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), noting they serve as the 'vital backbone' of the Philippine economy.

Philippine Statistics Authority data said the MSME sector generated over 5.461 million jobs, or 64.67 percent of the Philippines' total employment for 2021.
