SAN FRANCISCO, California: The White House announced on Tuesday a proposed "Cyber Trust Mark" intended to show that connected devices meet United States security standards.

An ever-increasing number of technologies — from baby monitors and fitness trackers to home security cameras — make up the so-called Internet of Things (IoT), which US officials warn can pose increased cybersecurity threats.
