2026 Commonwealth Games in Australia cancelled — state premier

The Commonwealth Games, which are set to be held in the Australian state of Victoria in 2026, have been cancelled.

Victoria premier Daniel Andrews announced the cancellation in a press briefing on Tuesday that financial costs were the reasons for the pullout.
