Globe earns P1.4B from latest tower sale

GLOBE Telecoms Inc. has completed the first tranche of a sale-and-leaseback deal with Unity Digital Infrastructure, netting P1.4 billion in the process.

The first closing for 115 towers — 94 percent composed of ground-based towers and 6 percent rooftop towers in Luzon — was part of a 447-tower deal with Unity that was signed last May.
