Akari survives Gerflor, ends preliminary round campaign with win

Akari survived a gusty stand from Gerflor, 25-20, 22-25, 27-25, 25-27, 15-12, to end its preliminary round campaign with a victory in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Invitational Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday, July 18.

Put to the test by fellow eliminated team Defenders, the Chargers powered up from a botched fourth set where they relinquished a 12-19 lead to eking out the win in the fifth set.
