Sanchez woos upset voters ahead of snap poll

MADRID: Ahead of a snap election on July 23, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is struggling to win back moderate voters who were put off by controversial positions pushed by his far-left governing partners.

Sanchez's Socialists have since January 2020 governed in a minority coalition government with Podemos, born out of grassroots anti-austerity 'indignados' protests.
