WHO: Aspartame sweeteners 'possibly carcinogenic'

The WHO said Friday it was now classifying aspartame, an artificial sweetener commonly used in soft drinks, as 'possibly carcinogenic to humans' — though the acceptable daily intake level remains unchanged.
