Divided Asean grapples for united Myanmar stance

JAKARTA: Top diplomats from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) were still working for a united position on the Myanmar crisis on Thursday, a day after the 10-member bloc's ministerial meeting ended.

Myanmar has been ravaged by deadly violence since a coup ousted Aung San Suu Kyi's elected government on Feb. 1, 2021, unleashing a bloody crackdown on dissent.
