(UPDATE) THE combined effect of the low pressure area (LPA) off Quezon and the southwest monsoon will bring rain in most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Thursday.

Pagasa weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said the LPA was estimated at 295 kilometers east of Infanta, Quezon.
