FORMER National Security adviser Clarita Carlos said the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. must shift gears in dealing with China when it comes to issues related to the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

In a video interview with The Manila Times, Carlos said she informed the President about the policy shift before she resigned last January.
