A GROUNDBREAKING strategy adopted by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) is expected to reduce greenhouse gases (GHG) by 70 percent by 2040.

According to Bimco, one of the largest international shipping associations representing shipowners, the newly adopted IMO GHG reduction strategy translates to a reduction of around 90 percent on average at the individual ship level due to expected fleet growth.
