LEGAZPI, Albay: Two members of the local police force were killed while conducting a checkpoint in Oas town in Albay before midnight on Sunday, July 9, by motorcycle-riding men. One of the suspects was identified as a former member of the military.
LtCol. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, PNP Bicol regional spokesman, identified the fatalities as PCMS Joseph Ostonal, 43, married, a resident of Ligao City, and Cpl. Jeffrey Refereza, 35, married, residing in Libon, Albay.
