Carmona now Cavite's 8th city

CARMONA, Cavite: The town of Carmona here in Cavite province is now officially a city after overwhelming 'yes' votes won over the 'no' votes in a plebiscite held on Saturday, July 8, 2023.

Results released around 9:30 p.m. by Board of Canvassers chairman Mico Morales-Castro showed 30,363 residents voted to ratify the municipality's conversion and 1,016 opposed the proposal for a 29,347 lead.
