THE Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat, of which the Right Reverend Austin Cadiz, OSB, is abbot, will present a concert on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at eight in the evening at the Abbatial Church. The monastery has billed the affair as 'A Monk's Legacy' — a musical tribute and a commemoration of the life of Dom Benildus (Manuel) Maramba, OSB.

Maestro Mickey Jacinto, who has just graduated with the degree Master of Music, major in orchestral conducting, and Dom Eugenio Labrague, OSB, himself a musician, co-direct the affair. The concert will feature performances on the pipe organ by Prof. Armand Salarza, Dom Eugenio and Sr. Enoch Kim, OSB. One of Fr. Maramba's last projects was the enhancement of the pipe organ at the Abbatial Church. The Liturgikon Vocal Ensemble of the University of Santo Tomas and the Coro de San Jacinto, which includes the culture and arts department of Cagayan State University, will perform choral numbers.
