THE stock market's direction this week is expected to be driven by investor reactions to latest US inflation data, analysts said, as the pace of consumer price growth could bolster the likelihood of a fresh Federal Reserve rate hike.
The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) fell 1.37 percent week-on-week last Friday, plunging by 95.23 points or 1.47 percent on that day alone to 6,379.03 after US markets fell following hawkish statements from Fed officials.
