Jamesray Michael Ajido, a multiple national record holder in the 13-under class, and Amina Bungubung, a World Junior Championship campaigner, secured spots in the national team set to compete in the 35th Southeast Asia Age Group Championship on August 24-26 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Ajido and Bungubung, both members of the Quezon City Buccaneers Swim Club (QCBSC) under coach Sherwin Santiago, met the qualifying time standard (QTS) in their respective classes on Friday during the national tryouts for Luzon organized by the World Aquatic-backed Philippine Swimming Inc. (PSI) headed by president Miko Vargas and secretary general Batangas Rep. Eric Buhain.
