Only 54 of military's 150 modernization projects completed

THE modernization program of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) entered its final stage this year, but out of the 150 projects lined up to develop the capability of the military, only 54 have been completed which translates to 34 percent.

AFP spokesman Col. Medel Aguilar said in an interview over the weekend that the progress and implementation of the projects depend on the budget allocated by Congress.
