SENATORS commended President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for signing into law Republic Act (RA) 11953, which will help alleviate the debt burdens of over 600,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) nationwide.
RA 11953, or the "New Agrarian Emancipation Act," condones all principal and interest of loans of 610,054 ARBs arising from the award of agricultural lands under the government's Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
