TABUK CITY, Kalinga: The local government received a new fire truck from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Central Office that will improve the firefighting capability of personnel of the local fire station. BFP chief Director Louie Puracan informed Mayor Darwin Estrañero that the city was among the recipients of the fire truck that could carry 1,000 gallons of water. 'We are grateful to the Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. and the BFP for including Tabuk. It will definitely complement our existing fleet to be able to further improve their firefighting capabilities,' Mayor Estrañero stressed. Last year, Tabuk was also a recipient of an ambulance that was provided by the BFP to ensure the availability of emergency vehicles to be used in responding to calls for assistance during natural and man-made calamities in the city and nearby areas.
