Rising palay prices to boost rice program

RISING palay (unmilled rice) prices will help boost the government's Masagana Rice Industry Development Program (MRIDP), a Department of Agriculture (DA) official said.

Agriculture Undersecretary for Rice Industry Development Leocadio Sebastian said the increase in the prices 'would attract farmers to join' the program.
