The firm said the office market had an office space take-up of around 554,000 square meters (sqm) in the first half of 2023, 46 percent higher than the 379,000 sqm recorded in the same period in 2022.
"For the first six months of the year, we have already transacted around 500,000 sqm. As we have seen in the past few years, about 50 to 60 percent of office transaction happen in the second half of the year, which gives us some optimism that last year's number, which was 1 million square meters, is well within reach," Mikko Barranda, Leechiu commercial leasing director, said.
