BACOLOD CITY: Six mayors in the franchise area of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) has urged the National Electrification Administration (NEA) to postpone the plebiscite for the joint venture agreement (JVA) between the power cooperative and Primeelectric Holdings Inc. (PHI) pending the cleansing of the master list of its member-consumers.

"We are convinced that this is the only way to ensure that this plebiscite reflects the real choice of the bonafide member-consumers of Ceneco, to properly decide the fate of the JVA," the mayors said in a letter dated July 3 and addressed to NEA Administrator Antonio Mariano Almeda.
