A hot pressure area (HPA) is causing hot and humid weather, particularly over Northern and Central Luzon, the state-run weather bureau said on Wednesday.
An opposite of the low pressure area, an HPA indicates an area where the atmospheric pressure is higher than its surroundings and formation of clouds is usually suppressed, thus, less chance of rain, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
