THE Philippine National Police (PNP) gave assurances that the holding of peaceful and orderly Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) later this year is its highest priority.

PNP chief Gen. Benjamin Acorda Jr. said on Monday that part of the police force's campaign to ensure the peaceful conduct of the elections is by renewing its drive against loose firearms and identifying private armed groups (PAGs) that may derail the electoral exercise.
