2 tribal leaders shot dead

DAVAO CITY: Two barangay (village) officials from the Indigenous peoples (IP) community were killed by unidentified suspects at Sitio Bagong Silang, Barangay Baganihan, Marilog District in this city on Saturday morning, July 1, 2023.

The Davao City Police Office, in its report, identified the victims as barangay kagawad (village councilor) Joel Daguinsal Siawan, 37, and IP mandatory representative Ernesto Linog Matalam, 52.
