After years of trying to find some time to attend, I finally got the chance to fly to South Korea to attend the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival Bifan) upon the invitation of Bifan's Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF) and Festival Programmer Thomas Nam. This time, I was attending as a film producer and sought to meet the promising genre film projects featured in the festival and market as well as collaborators and partners for the projects I'm supporting.

From its launch in 1997, Bifan has become one of Korea's most important film festivals specializing in genre film. It is an annual international film festival that focuses on international horror, thriller, mystery and fantasy films from South Korea, East Asia, and Southeast Asia.
