Burkina Faso bans French news channel LCI

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso: The media watchdog authority in Burkina Faso on Thursday banned French television news channel LCI for three months, accusing it of spreading 'fake information' about jihadist violence.

The CSC, or high council for communication, issued a statement announcing the ban against LCI on all pay TV packages in the nation.
