The figure is higher by 1.4 percent from P18.79 per kg recorded in April, and up by 10.6 percent in comparison to May 2022's price level of P17.24 per kg.
Northern Mindanao still posted the highest palay farmgate price during the month, at P21.26 per kg, followed by Ilocos Region at P20.26 per kg.
