INFLATION could have slowed to as low as 5.3 percent in June or remained unchanged at 6.1 percent, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said on Friday.
"Higher prices of key food items, such as rice, vegetables and fish, along with the increase of domestic oil prices and electricity rates as well as the depreciation of the peso are the primary sources of upward price pressures in June," the central bank said in a statement.
