BEGINNING July 1 this year, the water allocation for Metro Manila will be reduced as part of government measures to conserve water as the country braces for a long El Niño period.

The National Water Resources Board (NWRB) said that it would reduce allocations for water concessionaires supplying Metro Manila residents from 52 cubic meters per second (CMS) to 50 CMS.
