THE Manila Times on Wednesday received the 'Kabalikat' award from the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DoST-Pcieerd) during the agency's 13th anniversary and launch of the Philippine Innovation Expo at the Manila Hotel.

News editor Danton Remoto, representing the newspaper, received the citation from DoST-Pcieerd Executive Director Dr. Enrico Paringit for the story 'DoST-Pcieerd vies for intl science engagement breakthrough award' that featured the council's nomination to the Falling Wells Engage competition.
