BSP to start unwinding Covid-19 relief measures

REGULATORY relief measures implemented at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic will be phased out beginning July 1, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) announced on Wednesday.

Loans to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and large enterprises (LEs) can no longer be used by universal and commercial banks as alternative compliance with reserve requirements (RR) starting this Saturday, the central bank said in a statement.
