THE DoSTv: Science for the People and Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) bring six short films that feature the science of everything "under the sea." Started last June 14, here are the following movies one can watch for free at FDCP's Cinematheque Centres in Manila, Davao, Iloilo, Negros, and Nabunturan.

Saving Tawilis. Tawilis is one of the Filipinos' favorite freshwater sardines and is endemic only to Tagaytay. However, due to overconsumption and water pollution, the species has become vulnerable and is now considered endangered. Find out in the film how Tawilis can be grown off-site using science, technology and innovation.
