Evacuees opt to stay in shelters

STO.DOMINGO, Albay: Residents who live within the 7-kilometer (km) radius of the Mayon Volcano have decided to stay in shelters in spite of the directive to return to their homes.

Albay Gov. Edcel Greco 'Grex' Lagman directed Sto. Domingo Mayor Joseling 'Jun' Aguas to bring back families from the 7-km radius extended zone and those who are outside the 6-km permanent danger zone (PDZ) to their homes.
