Mati to scrap baptismal fee

The Diocese of Mati in Davao Oriental will no longer charge baptismal fee in all of its churches starting this September 10.

'Most Rev. Abel C. Apigo, D.D., together with the Mati Clergy, undoubtedly agreed on the cancellation of the fixed rate for the sacrament of baptism, effective September 10, 2023, feast of San Nicolas de Tolentino, patron saint of the Diocese of Mati,' the diocese said in a social media post on Tuesday.
