THIS year, we witnessed the return of the motoring beat's most awaited drive event, the Toyota Road Trek. What started in 2005 as a caravan to present all of Toyota's models for the year has morphed into the most anticipated test drive event every year.
It was also some form of rite of passage for motoring hacks because not everyone was invited to the Road Trek. One had to have some form of experience or time spent in the beat before a note or a soft whisper to reserve dates was received.
